I’m obsessed with this right now. And if you like electronic music, beautiful sweeping melodies, or have ears, you will be too.
This four song journey begins with ‘Doido’ where we slowly ascend from loose, ethereal synths over organic sounds like (water splashing I think?)

into our first glimpse of the electronic gravitas this EP brings in spades.
We then move on to ‘Primavera’ which brings the most lovely melody I’ve heard this year (this was actually released in 2020 but cut me a break I do have a life you know) over a perfectly harmonious assembly of comforting synths and a driving bassline.
Here are some comfortable dogs to illustrate what I mean:

So we’re feeling the vibes, and then the next song goes HARD AF.
Like… wtf… I went from floating on a cloud to headbanging at 5am in a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles… and I LOVE IT. All about it, this song goes so hard. Then the fourth track continues the trend and also goes hard af. This EP was awesome.
Here is some more info from their Bandcamp:
Páula, Povoa and Jerge is a new collaboration between three eclectic talents: producer Jules Rosset aka Povoa, vocalist Páula, who fronts the Brazilian/French electro-pop band Tampon Tango, and Myd collaborator and Christine & The Queens live member Jerge.
The trio share their first single Primavera, a glistening concoction of ‘80s tinged electronica, sweetly vulnerable vocals and chiming live piano, and the title track from the eponymous EP which will be released on October 30th via Moshi Moshi.
In typical Indie Pong style, that ^ was probably more informative and useful than anything I just wrote, but like… here’s some more dog gifs:
